Life Mastery Series: From Burned Out to Balanced
Burnout is all too common. In May 2019, the World Health Organization recognized burnout as an occupational phenomenon with both physical and psychological symptoms.
Most commonly assumed to arise from the workplace, burnout can affect every area of life if not dealt with. Burnout is not being addressed in the workplace (around 17-27% have programs to prevent burnout and even less have programs to help people who have already burned out).
It's time to shine a light on burnout. This series seeks to bring many different perspectives, approaches and tools to recognize, prevent and overcome burnout. According to Statistica, the UK and the US have the highest reported share of burnout with Spain coming in third. Constant stress is the leading cause of burnout and with the reasons being workload, people issues and work/life balance.
We have so many more options these days, so much more information and resources at our fingertips to help deal with burnout.
